Frequently Asked Questions
Can the watermark be removed?
It’s drawn into each page’s content, not added as a comment or layer, so it prints and can’t be switched off in a viewer. Someone with a PDF editor can still select and delete it — no watermark is truly permanent.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Current version applies to all pages; per-page watermarks are on the roadmap.

Notes from Milo 🐨
This page said "text or image" and promised position and font size. It only ever stamped text, in the middle, at 64 pt. You can now stamp an image (a PNG logo with a transparent background works best; JPG, WebP and iPhone HEIC too) at a width you pick, choose one of nine spots on the page, and set the text size. Text that's too long for the page is still shrunk to fit, and now it tells you.
On a page that's turned sideways in the viewer, or cropped, the watermark is now centred on the page you actually see, at the angle you picked.
A watermark in Chinese, Japanese or Korean failed with an error, because the built-in PDF font only has Latin letters. Now any text works, the default is in your language, long text shrinks to fit the page, and the watermark sits properly in the middle at any angle.
