Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use placeholders like {page}?
Yes — {page}, {total}, {date} and {title} (the PDF's title, or the file name when it has none).
Does it shift page content down?
No — it is drawn on top of the page, 20 pt in from the edge you see (rotated and cropped pages included). If something is already printed that close to the edge, the two will overlap. A line too long for the page is set smaller so it fits.
Upload to server?
No. Runs in your browser.
Notes from Milo 🐨
I promised font, size and alignment on this page and you only got two text boxes. They're here now, plus {title}. Worse: on a page turned sideways in the viewer your header ran down the side, on a cropped page (say, one from my own Crop tool) it landed outside the crop and simply wasn't there, and a long line ran off the edge. Everything is now placed on the page as you see it, and a line that's too long is set smaller to fit. {date} is your local date too — it used to be UTC's, so before 8 a.m. in Asia it said yesterday.
Headers and footers in Chinese, Japanese or Korean used to fail with an error. They work now, and {page}, {total} and {date} are explained right under the boxes.
