Terms of Service — ToolKoala
Last updated: May 2026
I'm Milo 🐨, the one person behind ToolKoala. I'm not a legal department, so I'll keep this in plain English. By using the site you're agreeing to the handful of things below. If any of it doesn't sit right with you, no hard feelings — just don't use the tools.
What you can use it for
ToolKoala is free for personal and commercial use. Process any files you have the legal right to work with. The one line I have to draw: don't use the tools on content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or breaks the law where you are.
It's provided as-is
I build and maintain these tools nights and weekends, and I test them as best one person can. But they come with no warranty of any kind — express or implied. I can't promise every tool is bug-free, never goes down, or produces output perfect for your particular file. Always keep a backup of your originals before editing. That's the most important sentence on this page.
Where my liability stops
To the maximum extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that come out of using ToolKoala — including lost data, lost profit, or downtime. It's a free tool made by one person; please treat it that way and keep your own backups.
Your files are yours
The ToolKoala name, logo, and site design are mine. The open-source libraries doing the heavy lifting keep their own licenses. But the files you run through the tools? Entirely yours — I claim zero rights over them, and since they never leave your browser, I never even see them.
Third-party bits
The site loads Google AdSense and Google Analytics, which run under Google's own terms. Neither one can touch your files — the files never leave your device. See the privacy policy for the full story.
If these terms change
I may update this page now and then. Continuing to use the site after a change means you're okay with the updated version. I won't do anything sneaky here.
