How It Works
- Upload your image — Drop any image to see it pixelated with default settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pixelate only part of the image?
Yes. Choose Selected areas and drag a box over each part to hide, as many as you need; drag a box to move it, a corner to resize it. With several images each one keeps its own boxes, or click "Use these areas on every image" for a stack of screenshots with the same layout. Images with no area marked are left out of the download.
What block size should I use for censoring?
It depends on the size of what you hide, not of the picture: aim for no more than about 8 blocks across a face and one block per character of text. The "Selected area" line under the picture shows how many blocks a box is cut into. A fine mosaic over text can sometimes be reversed, so for numbers and addresses use Solid bar.
Is the original still hidden in the downloaded file?
No. The covered pixels are replaced in a brand-new image file and nothing underneath is kept. The original's metadata (camera, GPS) isn't copied either.

My own how-to said "drag a box over the region" — and this page could only pixelate the whole picture. Sorry. Now pick Selected areas and drag a box over each face, plate or account number; the rest stays sharp. Text you need gone for good can get a solid bar instead of a mosaic, every block is now the true average of what it covers (no more colour leaking into the next block), and blocks go up to 120 px for big photos.
