Does it detect all faces?
It uses the browser's built-in FaceDetector API (Chrome/Edge). On unsupported browsers, it falls back to blurring the center area.

This one mattered: on Safari before version 18 the face was found, but the blur was silently ignored, so the downloaded photo still showed every face sharp — exactly what you came here to hide. The blur now runs in JavaScript when the browser won't apply it, and it's checked pixel by pixel. Moving the slider also no longer re-runs face detection every time.
