📍 What's My IP & Location

See exactly what your IP reveals to every website you visit — location, ISP, timezone. Read straight from Cloudflare's edge, no third-party.

🔒 This one's different — it reads your connection. Unlike ToolKoala's other tools, this one reads your connection: one request to our own Cloudflare edge for your location, plus Cloudflare's icanhazip to detect your IPv4 and IPv6. No third-party trackers, no API key, and nothing is logged or stored — it exists so you can see what every site already learns about you.

Features

  • Your public IP & location — City, region, country, ISP and timezone — the same details any website reads the moment you connect.
  • Straight from Cloudflare — Data comes from Cloudflare's edge (request.cf), not a random third-party IP API. No key, no middleman.
  • Nothing logged — We don't store your IP or location. One look, then it's gone — refresh whenever you like.
  • Privacy awareness — Built so you can see exactly what you're exposing — and decide whether you want a VPN.

How It Works

  1. Open the page — It reads your connection details automatically — nothing to upload or type.
  2. See what's exposed — Your IP, approximate location, ISP and timezone, as websites see them.
  3. Check the map — Open the approximate coordinates on a map to see how close it lands.
  4. Copy or refresh — Copy the details, or refresh (e.g. after turning on a VPN) to compare.

Use Cases

  • Check what a VPN is (or isn't) actually hiding
  • Confirm the country sites detect for geo-restricted content
  • Grab your public IP for a whitelist or firewall rule
  • See the location and ISP advertisers infer from your IP

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this tool upload anything or use a third party?

No third party. It makes a single request to our own Cloudflare edge, which reads the geo data Cloudflare already attaches to your connection. Nothing is logged or stored.

Why is the location a bit off?

IP geolocation is approximate — it usually points to your city or your ISP's region, not your exact address. The coordinates are a rough centroid, not your doorstep.

How is this different from the other ToolKoala tools?

The others are 100% local — nothing leaves your browser. This one necessarily reads your connection (that's the whole point), so it makes one same-origin request to our edge. Still no third-party, still nothing stored.

Can I hide this information?

A VPN or proxy changes the IP — and therefore the location and ISP — that sites see. Turn one on and hit Refresh to watch it change.

People kept telling me they only saw their IPv6 address and wondered where the “normal” one went. So now it shows your IPv4 and IPv6 side by side — no more guessing which one a site actually sees.
